I think it was my day as a guide was because Dave – the tour leader- was arrested and put in jail for a bit as he was with his group in some temple and was giving them information and the guides are a protected occupation. As I didn’t have a clue as to what I was looking at I was a safe bet!

This was at the start of a trip that was a camel ride into the desert and to visit the Coptic monastory.

I think that we met Mickey (our camel) the night before where we had dinner with a Nubian tribe.

At the end of the trip Michelle came and stayed with us for a couple of days. Matthew also came to stay with us for a few days later in the year. He was treated to a beer festival and then the The Frog and Frigate! Which he liked so much he bought the t-shirt.
