A day trip

Viv and Lukas were leaving at 9am. They had managed to get a lift share on a ride sharing app. Their lift would pick them up at the marina dn take them all the way to their van at La Coruña airport. This was an absolute result for them! As they had not been able to have some the vintage port I gave them a bottle ruby port as compensation for missing it. It was sad to see them go, they had been great company and they had really interesting stories to tell us.

The locals, Geoff, Lisa, Andrew and Debbie were going us for a day sail over to Portimao. They arrived just after midday with a massive picnic lunch and we duly set off. Not without me having my first real accident of the trip. I tripped over the lines holding the dinghy onto the deck at the front. All a bit embarrassing, I shall be hobbling though the airports
We had a lovely sail, very little motoring for a change. We went behind the breakwater and used the anchor for the first time. It took a couple of goes before Marco was happy with it. We settled down for a lovely lunch, dangled our feet in the water, had a very chill time, almost what was promised to me back when this was first discussed :-). The we sailed back, only motoring at the end and moored up.

Marco and I were treated to a lovely meal out. It was near Lagos beach in a small residential area in a nice open air locals restaurant. Lovely fish and company.

We then had to experience modronho. I think it helped with the pain rom the toe.

Geoff then very kindly dropped us off, back at the marina.
