Day 2 – St Ives

Feeling slightly hungover, I still managed to get up for dawn. I didn’t think it would be that good as I could see that clouds would have passed overhead a few hours ago, heading east, and therefore it may obscure the sun on the horizon. It was still very pleasant though and I used some light blockers to get this dreamy shot on a long exposure.

As we were going out for dinner at 4:30 at the Sea Food Cafe,  Sue cooked us a marvellous breakfast! Sue, Ivan and Judy all went out for a drink at the sloop and a walkabout while I messed around with photos.

Early afternoon I headed off for a walk as I have to make up for the extra calories etc.

We then chilled out before heading over to The Sea Food Cafe, where we met Jane (Judy and Ivan’s friend from Carbis Bay). Ivan had a half lobster and did a great job of cracking through it. The food was excellent as always. Everybody else had a pudding, which were works of art. I resisted as I knew I would be want something from the food stall at the festival. We all went beack to the flat, Sue changed into something more appropriate for a festival and we set off for Sue’s longest walk on her dodgy ankle for a while. The beach was stunnig again! We got our wrist bands and Sue sat in the chair we carried and I went and liberated another one as we sat down to enjoy the night’s music. Inbetween acts I nipped to the AFghan Food sotre and we had a couple of chicken wraps which were very good.

We left halfway through the last act as Sue had a hill to hobble up. We got a lovely couple of images as we walked back. It was the night before the full moon and the moon was out in full glory, lighting up the route back.

There was a lovely view of the stage tent, all lit up and then the sea was almost luminescent as we looked back through the tress.
