St Ives – Day 5

I got up for another dawn and walked up to the Island to see what was happening. As it was around full moon the Moon had not yet set and was above the chapel on the Island. Photographing the moon is quite often dissappointing because our minds (well certainly mine) makes the moon appear bigger than it really is. So this photo has the moon enlarged to match my memory of it.

That was the only photo going, but I did have a nice chat to a young couple who were flying a drone around.

On the way back I did get a few nice shots as the sun broke through and the waves were crashing. Also, one of the tame seagulls was on hand to spice things up a bit.

Later that morning I went for a long walk to Hayle and back. As I went up the slope from Porth Minster I met Dave “The Pool” and his wide from Shirley. They were walking in the same direction. So we walked along and had a good old chat. They had to turn back so they could get their reservation at Porth Minster Cafe and I carried on. It was one of the lowest tides of the year, so you could walk from Carbis Bay to Porth Kidney.  I had take a beer with me and chilled out with a nice view and read my book.

I got back and cooked a rissotto for dinner. I think we nipped out to The Sloop later on for a quick rum!

Below are a few photos from the day.
