So Monday morning, the first day of our holiday at pond cottage next to the Endsleigh Hotel. We decided to use the new fiesta that we picked up yesterday. We thought we would give it a bit of a run out down here to Devon. We said goodbye to Harriet and Sam, who will kindly look after the house for us and set off via Costco petrol station and took the coast road here.
We stopped for lunch at a farm shop just off the A35(?) and had coffee and a cake and brought some beer to have with the pasty that Judith was bringing for dinner.
The rest of the journey passed by pretty quickly and the fiesta performed fine, although it is very much a town car. We turned off onto the road that leads to the hotel, and we could tell that it was going to be beautiful as the grounds were stunning. We drove past the hotel where the car park was full of Range Rovers and Land Rovers and Jaguars. The cottage is a few metres further on from the hotel set down in a little valley without rush filled pond in front and trees surrounding it.
We had a look around, emptied the car and waited for Judith and Ivan to arrive. They were not surprisingly happy with the property and we had a quick cup of tea before unloading their car. More looking about, a few more phots, pasties for tea and an early night.
