This morning was a planning morning for Marco planning out the rest of the sailing trip. Dave took a work call for a whole hour and Sue went to the supermarket, in the rain, for the days provisions and the tourist office to find out details of buses for the afternoon trip. It was still pretty rainy and the path into the Town had turned to mud.
Dave then cooked a beef stew as we planned to get the bus at 4. The buses were quite infrequent, so we had time for a siesta.
We caught the bus to La Rabida and then had a short walk through the beautifully landscaped University campus to get to Muelle de las carabelas, where there are three life-size replicas of three ships from the voyage of Columbus.
We managed to get the 6 o’clock bus back and then treated ourselves to a kebab, followed by a nice gin and tonic at our local bar, followed by a few games of cards, Marco had an early night and we watched an episode of This is Us.
Goodness you seemed ‘doomed’ to rainy days. Perhaps you should come to Cornwall instead.
Going to La Rabida seem to have been worthwhile though.
There is always tomorrow p, when the sun might shine.
