We had decided to have a day of doing very little. Dave did an hours web design work in the morning while Sue went for a long walk on the beach and listened to her audiobook.
The weather was really lovely and it was the first time for the whole trip that we had needed to put the awning out on the van and that we were able to air dry some hand washing. Such excitement!!! 🤣
We walked down to the beach and had a very refreshing swim in the sea.The water was still pretty cold so we didn’t stay in very long but it was lovely.
We’d decided to go out for lunch to El Pájaro Amarillo restaurant on the seafront as we quite fancied looking out at that beautiful beach view. Dave had a plato combinado of pork, squid, prawns, croquetas, ensaladilla rusa and chips – this would easily have fed both of us! I had peppers stuffed with seafood and veg.
We had a decent siesta and then I went to pay in the office as it was so relaxing that we’d decided to stay for a second night. We’d done so much touring that it was nice to have a couple of quiet days. The lady warned us that the following night would be noisy until about two in the morning as the campsite bar were hosting their own Feria de Abril evening (in May! 😃) with a flamenco band from Seville. That sounded right up our street, so we decided to stay a third night. So, to guarantee a table, I booked in for lunch there the following day and they were able to squeeze a couple more people in between all the massive Spanish group bookings!!
We had a very relaxing evening. We walked down to see the sunset , walking all the way to the river (Called the raging river, but it was very placid) right at the end of the beach and then back to the campsite.
