Day 3 of pure relaxation

The weather was looking good today, so we thought we would have another day of pure relaxation.

We went for a swim from the beach, as you can see it is right next to our pitch, just down a short path nicely curated by the campsite. We we were one of the first ones on the beach, we had it pretty much to ourselves. The water is incredibly clear and the view of the campsite was so good. I had to get my phone and take some pictures from the water. By the time we got back to the van, it was only just 9 am.

While climbing up to the toilet block with the portaloo, I noticed a man leaving the cafeteria with bread so after emptying said portaloo, I mentioned this to Sue and she nipped up to get a loaf. I have to say that this is the only walk to the toilets that has ever got my heart rate up to 120 bpm.

Our next door, neighbours, an English family of five, spanning three generations, set off to walk some of the Camino de Santiago, but that looked like much too much effort, so we climbed 100m up to the café to have a coffee and enjoy its magnificent views.

In the afternoon we read our books, Sue went for a walk along Playa de Vidiago, and I prepared for two calls I had a later that day, one with Ben about his website, thefungifolks.co.uk and one with Nick Frank.

We then went for yet another swim, as the beach is just too close to miss and then we cooked a meal of fried potato and chorizo with a tomato salad. We finished off the evening with a another episode of Nicola Walker talking about Valkyries, as it is already downloaded, we might as well just stick with it rather than using up my rather expensive bandwidth.

Word of the day
  • Ir a nadar – to go for a swim
  • Dar un paseo – to go for a walk
