The Long Return

We quickly packed and had a breakfast of yoghurt and peaches before heading off at 10 to 8 for our Metro trip to the airport. The start of our return to the 5-2 diet (a decision we took after the lift saying were too fat). It was all going swimmingly until our second Metro route stopped four stops short of the airport. We had to get off and wait another half hour before another airport Metro came along. This was a bit frustrating and we were glad that we had allowed loads of time rather than the one hour recommended in the guidebook because it ended up taking us over two hours to get there.

The flight back was very smooth and easyJet managed to get us back 20 minutes ahead of schedule! We then had a bit of a wait for the train back down to Southampton, but were able to use our senior railcards and get the tickets for £25 for both of us.

By the end of the day we’d walked about 3 and a half miles of airport and metro corridors, so decided to get a taxi back home for the last stretch. 😃

Slightly embarrasingly I (Dave) forgot to check the bedroom in our Athens apartment properly and when we got home I said to Sue, “Have you seen my iPad?” (it is hers really). “No” She replies.

Apple has this lovely facility call “Find My ….”. It works. Bollox.

Hopefully they are posting it back to us.
