Today Ben had a volunteer working at the farm so we (Sue, Suzie and I) were tourists for the day. After a leisurely start we set of for Usk. I had ordered a Black Friday bit of tech that DPD had failed to deliver so I arranged to have it sent to the Co-op in Usk. It arrived mid morning so we picked it up and then went to the castle.
This is a privately owned castle and it was £4 to get in,even though it said it was closed, and we got our very own dog to throw sticks to for the whole of the visit. We were lucky with the weather as the sun broke through the clouds.
We the drove all the way to Raglan ( 5 miles) to yet another amazing castle. Much grander than Usk, which was quaint. Again we were lucky with the weather…. I love a good set of clouds.
After that we were all castled out and returned back to the barn for lunch and a rest.
To get my step count up I went for a walk in the local area around the South Wales Glider Club. Fantastic sunset. Fabulous.
