One of the benefits of Harriet and Sam being away and having access to the flat was that we could go to our first pride parade in Brighton. We got down there on Friday night went out for a couple of beers at the lovely pub, the Barley Mow, and then had fantastic takeaway pizzas from Pizza Face, opposite the pub. You could take the pizza into the pub and eat it, but we took our home to watch in front of the telly.
We had a leisurely morning and set off to the parade route at about 10:45 am and got a great position just opposite Brighton Pavilion. It was a fantastic parade lasting about two hours, and it was lovely to see so many people out being very accepting of each other, and having a great time together in contrast to the misery and violence in other cities this weekend.
The story is best shown in the pictures below and the video at the top. Enjoy!!
P.S. if anyone can tell us what the dog masks are about let us know 🫢
p.p.s We did then have very nice tapas in The Lanes
