Sam was staying with us for a few days, to use up a few days of his holiday up. He was very keen to do a bit of drone based videography does at Lepe beach at dawn. Annoyingly we could have done this the day before but my weather app told me it was going to be cloudy….. it wasn’t☹️.
So we set off at 5:30am, watching the sky grow in beauty as we drive down Southampton water to the beach. We were too early for the car park so parked by the side of the bus parking area and walked into the fantastic sunrise.
It was a great 20 minutes of rope flow and droning (on and on). I’m sure Sam’s edits will improve it. I haven’t flown it much recently so probably not my best flight. Sue managed to get a few nice stills of Sam’s moves, however, some of which are included below and in the end the edit turned out really nicely.
We wandered back to the van and set off back home to finish packing for Madeira!
We were taking Sam back to Brighton and then going up to Stuart and Elaine’s for the night as they are so close to Gatwick. We piled the car high with our luggage and some of Sam’s stuff to take back to his flat. We got to Brighton, unloaded the car, parked and then went to the fabulous Marmalade cafe for lunch. The afternoon was spent watching England beat Italy. It was lovely to see Sam and Harriet’s flat looking gorgeous with lovely plants and flowers and all their possessions in place as the last time we had seen it was on moving day! We also had the chance to take a stroll through the resident’s gardens as this time we had sunshine unlike on moving day when it was drizzly rain. We were impressed with all the beautiful planting and the lovely tunnel down to the beach.
Then we headed off to our fabulous overnight accommodation with our lovely hosts. 😃Rosanna and Signe were also there which was an added bonus. We had a lovely meal and retired to bed very early as Stuart was just back from his first week walking some of the south west coast path and Elaine had been hosting Janette for a few days.
